Primary school extension in Broc, open competition

The program mainly includes school facilities, an extracurricular area linked to a multipurpose hall, a new civil defense shelter, and an underground parking lot. With its discreet placement and low-height volumes, the project highlights the historic buildings present on the site. The complex consists of three simple, compact volumes connected at the ground floor by an entrance portico. These three buildings form a cohesive whole around a central courtyard: a green space with an intimate character, a secret garden next to the church, designed specifically for children. Outside school hours, the complex opens to the neighborhood, providing high-quality public spaces for the village’s residents. The project also includes the redevelopment of Rue des Écoles, prioritizing pedestrians. The only area dedicated to motorized vehicles is the access to the underground parking lot, marked by an asphalt surface. Extensive landscaping complements the design, creating welcoming spaces that are pleasant to live in and cross in all seasons.

Le programme comprend principalement des locaux scolaires, un accueil extrascolaire associé à une salle polyvalente, un nouvel abri PC et un parking souterrain. Grâce à son implantation discrète et à ses volumes de faible hauteur, le projet met en valeur les bâtiments historiques présents sur le site. L’ensemble est constitué de trois volumes simples et compacts, reliés au rez-de-chaussée par un portique d’entrée. Ces trois bâtiments forment un tout cohérent autour d’une cour centrale : un espace végétalisé au caractère intime, véritable jardin secret adjacent à l’église, spécialement conçu pour les enfants. En dehors des heures scolaires, le complexe s’ouvre au quartier en mettant à disposition des espaces publics de qualité pour les habitants du village. Le projet prévoit également la requalification de la rue des Écoles, avec une priorité donnée aux piétons. La seule zone accessible aux véhicules motorisés est l’entrée du parking souterrain, matérialisée par un revêtement en enrobé. Une importante arborisation accompagne cet aménagement, offrant des espaces accueillants, agréables à vivre et traversables en toutes saisons.
