Two familiy house in Lenzerheide/Lai

Two families, two homes, one building. The location on the site and the shape of the building were carefully designed to give both dwellings a wide southern exposure and a privileged view of the surrounding mountain landscape. The terrain, characterized by a steep slope, influenced the organization of the spaces: the dwellings are developed on multiple terraced levels, adapting to the topography and minimizing the occupation of the land. Centrally positioned staircases connect the various spaces in a fluid and organic way, enriching the spatial perception with dynamic perspectives between the interiors and towards the external landscape. This solution also contributes to a generous natural lighting of the spaces. The monolithic façade, made of insulating load-bearing brick, ensures an optimal natural regulation of interior humidity. The openings on the façade are inspired by the vernacular architecture of the Grisons region.

Zwei Familien, zwei Zuhause, ein Gebäude. Die Lage auf dem Grundstück und die Form des Gebäudes wurden sorgfältig geplant, um beiden Wohnungen eine möglichst sonnige Ausrichtung und einen privilegierten Blick auf die umliegende Berglandschaft zu ermöglichen. Das von einem steilen Hang geprägte Grundstück hat die Organisation der Räume beeinflusst: Die Wohnungen sind auf mehreren abgestuften Ebenen angelegt, die sich der Topografie anpassen und den Fussabdruck des Gebäudes minimieren. Die zentral angeordneten Treppen verbinden die verschiedenen Räume auf fließende und organische Weise, wobei die Raumwahrnehmung durch sich wechselnde Perspektiven zwischen den Innenräumen und der Landschaft bereichert wird. Diese Lösung trägt auch zu einer großzügigen natürlichen Belichtung der Räume bei. Die monolithische Fassade aus dämmendem Einsteinmauerwerk sorgt dank ihren feuchtigkeitsregulierenden Eigenschaften für ein optimales Raumklima im Inneren. Die Fassadenöffnungen sind von der traditionellen Architektur Graubündens inspiriert.
